Dr Dean Seah is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist

Dr Dean is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with sub-specialty training in the management of bowel disorders. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine with Distinction at The University of Melbourne with a full National Scholarship – graduating with first-class honours and was appointed to the Dean’s Honours List for outstanding academic achievement.

After completing his specialist training at the Victorian Liver & Intestinal Transplant Unit, Austin Health, and Monash Health, he completed an advanced fellowship sub-specialising in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at the world-renowned IBD Unit at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK. In addition, he held a position as a Research Fellow at King’s College London.

Dr Dean is experienced in all areas of gastroenterology, with particular interests in bowel cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, iron deficiency, reflux disease and hepatology.

He holds a public appointment at Monash Health, where he is the clinical lead for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. He combines clinical practice with gastroenterology research and has published widely in medical journals and presented at national and international conferences.

With low/no gap fees and minimal wait times for privately insured endoscopy, as well as a public appointment at Monash, Dean is able to provide care to all patients needing gastroenterological consultation and intervention.
