Associate Professor Jonathan Segal is a Gastroenterologist & specialist in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Jon is a UK trained Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

He has undertaken his training in some of the best inflammatory bowel disease centres around the world including St Mark’s Hospital and internationally is considered a leading expert in the ileoanal pouch, a sub-speciality of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Jon has completed his PhD and to date has over 110 PubMed indexed publications and has an honorary Associate Professorship with the University of Melbourne.

His hobbies include long-distance running, table tennis and spending time with his wife and two children.

With low/no gap fees and minimal wait times for privately insured endoscopy, as well as public appointments at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter Mac Hospital, Jon is able to provide care to all patients needing gastroenterological consultation and intervention.

Direct access endoscopy is available for suitable patients.  Telehealth consultations are available.
